Kakombe Waterfall
Gombe - Kakombe Waterfall
Hike to the Kakombe Waterfall. This is a small magnificent waterfall (25 meters in height) accessible after a hike which ascends with a gentle climb from the park entrance. This used to be a spiritual and cultural site for Ha community.

Jane's Peak
Gombe - Jane
This is where Dr. Jane Goodall used to sit. Jane's Peak is a lookout point up on a ridge, with an altitude of 1050 meters above sea level. It overhangs 3 valleys and offers a great view of the rest of the park.

Kasekela Tourist Center
Meet the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) rangers at the Kasekela Tourist Center. Kasekela is at the center of the park and this is where the main park entrance is situated. This area has the park's main rest house and the Jane Goodall memorial rest house. This is where all the chimpanzee trekking starts; during your stay at Gombe Forest Lodge you will be brought to this main entrance with a boat transfer.
