As a completely Tanzanian-owned business, we are able to share the love for our country with our guests and able to impact the communities surrounding our properties. Mbali Mbali Lodges and Camps continually supports community development. We have been establishing and supporting schools and hospitals, building community centers and wells for access to clean water, offering local employment and training opportunities, and assisting conservation efforts throughout Tanzania.

We have assisted in the establishment of schools in the Kigoma Region funding the set up of the first science lab and computer class in the region. We feel it is essential for students to have access to learning skills, which are crucial for their consideration in the workplace.

We offer employment opportunities to job seekers in the surrounding communities in hopes of giving our staff the opportunity to support their families. Our most recent endeavor included employing 25 locals from the Rufiji region of Tanzania and offering them a placement across our six properties.

We support after school activities by giving students the opportunity to use our facilities where possible. We have hosted special weekends for the students from our boarding school, who go out on kayaks across Lake Tanganyika. They enjoy a day filled with fun and activities including swimming and kayaking with their peers.

Let us know if you would like to visit the schools we work with when you are in Kigoma or make a donation.
